If you had an infinite supply of water and a 5 quart and 3 quart pail, how would you measure exactly 4 quarts?

1. Fill the 5 quart bucket from the spout.
2. Using the water 5 quart bucket, fill the 3 quart bucket.
3. Dump out the 3 quart bucket.
4. Dump the remaining 2 quarts of water that is in the 5 quart bucket, into the 3 quart bucket.
5. Fill the 5 quart bucket from the spout.
6. Using the water 5 quart bucket, fill the remainder of the 3 quart bucket.

That leaves 4 quarts of water in the 5 quart bucket.
