Chocolate Chip Cookies
My favorite recipe
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups BUTTER Flavored Crisco 16 ounces
- 2.5 cups Packed Brown Sugar 22 ounces
- 4 tbsp. Milk
- 2 tbsp. Vanilla Extract
- 2 Large Eggs
- 3.5 cups Flour 18 ounces
- 2 tsp. Salt
- 1.5 tsp. Baking Soda
- 2.5 cups Chocolate Chips 19 ounces
Directions
- Heat oven to 350°
- Beat shortening and brown sugar until light
- Beat in milk, vanilla and eggs
- Mix in chocolate chips
- Stir in flour, salt and baking soda
- For 3 inch cookies, Bake 11.5 minutesFor 5 inch cookies, slightly flatten the dollop, and Bake 14.5 minutes
- Carefully DROP the cookie sheet FLAT on the stovetop from about 8 inches – to 'crinkle' the tops.LEAVE the sheet on the stovetop until the NEXT batch is ready to come out.
- ONLY use a METAL spatula to remove the cookies from the sheet, as plastic spatulas will bend, causing some cookies to break/deform.
