Well… I just finished my "Traditions" Orientation at Disneyland. What that is, is the overall "Welcome to the company" training – stuff like; ‘How to help disabled people’; and ‘How to be a safe employee’; and ‘You can’t trade Disney stock if you have insider information.’ Fairly boring, but some fun times in there. Plus – you get paid for 8 hours of doing nothing.
One of the guys I used to work with in Guest Relations was one of the orientation leaders – a fun coincidence. Overall it was a standard day – nothing about trains, nothing about the job specifically – just about how to be an employee at the Park.
I start actual "training" on Monday at 5-AM! More to come…
