Yesterday was my monthly volunteer day at Walt’s Barn. It was a good day… hot, but lots of people considering it was Father’s Day.
We had George McGinnis as the special guest that day, who was the industrial designer for EPCOT at Disney World. Also, Michael Broggie was there, and a few surprise visitors… Dave Smith, the Disney Corporate archivist, and Margaret Kerry – the original model for Tinkerbell.
Even Bill Hall, one of my leads from the roundhouse showed up, as did Mike and Nicole Miller (two engineers that I work with) and one retired engineer, Ron Post.
I can’t say how special, and how much fun it is to be a part of the Barn. There are so many articfacts and stories in the barn! I’m still learning, but still love being there.
