Heat oven to 350°
Beat shortening and brown sugar until light
Beat in milk, vanilla and eggs
Mix in chocolate chips
Stir in flour, salt and baking soda
For 3 inch cookies, Bake 11.5 minutesFor 5 inch cookies, slightly flatten the dollop, and Bake 14.5 minutes Carefully DROP the cookie sheet FLAT on the stovetop from about 8 inches - to 'crinkle' the tops.LEAVE the sheet on the stovetop until the NEXT batch is ready to come out. ONLY use a METAL spatula to remove the cookies from the sheet, as plastic spatulas will bend, causing some cookies to break/deform.
